VISION

To be a pioneering force in bioengineering education and research, driving advancements in stoichiometry, process calculations, heat and mass transfer, and bioprocess engineering. We strive to excel in upstream and downstream processing and fermentation technology, producing innovative solutions that enhance health, sustainability, and industrial efficiency.

Dr. Suresh Babu Palanisamy completed his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He serves as a Professor and Head of the Department of Bioengineering at the Institute of Biotechnology, Saveetha School of Engineering, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, India. He completed his Masters from SASTRA University, Thanjavur & Bachelor's degree from Anna University - BIT Campus (formerly SET, Bharathidasan University), Tiruchirappalli. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UCSI University, Malaysia, and the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

Dr. Saranya Narayanasamy is a distinguished researcher and educator, currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at the Saveetha School of Engineering, SIMATS, Chennai. She received her B.Tech in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University and M.Tech in Biotechnology from PRIST University (Gold medalist), TamilNadu, India. She received her Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala, India, where she conducted groundbreaking research on water pollution abatement. She has been instrumental in guiding numerous undergraduate and doctoral research projects.
